Renewing RVA is the first and only ministry in the nation that combines medical mental health services and Biblical Prayer Ministry for the flourishing of children, adolescents, and their families. We provide mental health and spiritual care services at a time of unprecedented mental health crisis in our nation.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Our Mission
To provide high-quality medical mental health services in conjunction with Biblical prayer ministry for the spiritual, mental, and physical flourishing of clients in need.

Donate NowWe believe that by asking the Lord to heal the spiritual causes of present day mental health illness, the client can experience healing and freedom. This process is not a formula; it’s different for every individual. It can involve investigating generational trauma, familial patterns of sin or hurt, childhood wounds, or present day issues.
When needed, psychotropic medicine is an excellent tool to support a patient during this process. Especially when unpacking trauma, emotions that have been suppressed can be brought to the surface and intensify. Appropriate medical interventions can facilitate a more gracious process for the client. By offering both medical and prayer services, we can provide holistic care for a client in one location.
All clients must be in active care with a primary care provider
*Parents and guardians please note: we will not see your child without their consent, regardless of the child’s age; however, feel free to book an appointment for yourself. Sometimes a child observing their parents going through the healing process with the Lord can spark curiosity and willingness within the child.
No. We will treat any client regardless of religious affiliation. However, clients seeking Biblical Prayer Ministry should know that our provider prays in the name of Jesus Christ during prayer time.
One hour client intake and Biblical Prayer Ministry sessions are $150 each. For clients seeking psychiatric services, 30 minute med check appointments are $50 each. Clients can pay with a Health Savings Account. As a charitable organization, we have financial assistance available for those in need, please inquire with our office staff for details.
We accept Virginia Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans with Sentara, Molina, United Healthcare and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Clients can also pay with a Health Savings Account. Those clients with other commercial insurance plans can submit receipts to their insurer to see if they can get full or partial reimbursement. Renewing RVA is not responsible if the insurer refuses to reimburse the client.
Renewing RVA is the fiscal agent for the annual event in September One Day: One Step Toward Racial Healing for Richmond. One Day is a multi-church collaboration that seeks racial healing for our city through corporate, intercessory prayer. The event includes a Service of Repentance and Healing that leads participants through a process of Lament, Repent and Forgive. With these prayers, we have hope that One Day Richmond will be racially reconciled and healed.

Scripture: If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people, and My people [c]who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
